CIT and Ideagist signed MoU to set up Rural Incubation Centres across the country
Director General CIT, Ammar Jaffri stated that Rural Incubation Centers will be Digital Hubs at the grassroots level to bridge the gaps in rural and urban areas by using the power of latest technologies at UC level. This partnership will trigger a movement for the next ten years for building E-Pakistan. Both, IdeaGist and CIT Officials agreed to work along to setup a joint venture organization to establish Rural Incubation Centers (RIC) by training young entrepreneurs from partnering communities through a comprehensive curriculum and by offering them support at each stage of developing and operating these RICs. IdeaGist will help the CIT to provide online platform to connect all RICs to a global network of partners, offer expertise in emerging technologies, scout new technologies that can help transforming Pakistan’s rural communities and offer a range of technology products through the RIC network. CIT will provide Classroom training to young entrepreneurs and establish Rural Incubation Centers on the ground. We would like to accelerate the development of knowledge economy in Pakistan and it can only be done through innovation and collaboration. According to our sources, CIT is ready to launch 20 Rural Incubation Centers and another 100 are in the plan for 2020.
