An Entry-level smartphone, Redmi 8A Announced with Massive Battery
The phone has a larger 6.22″ IPS display with a waterdrop notch. Moreover, the notch houses an 8MP selfie camera. The phone also comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. One of the amazing features of the phone is its massive battery. The phone has a bigger 5,000 mAh battery. Around the back, we will have a single 12 MP F/1.8 Sony IMX363 camera. There is no fingerprint scanner which I really do not like about the phone. But yes it is an entry-level phone, so the company has removed this feature to make the phone inexpensive. Software-wise, the phone has Snapdragon 439 chipset. It has 2/3GB RAM and 32GB storage. If the users are not satisfied with the storage, they can expand it by using a microSD card. Redmi 8A also comes with MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie. Under the given price range this feature is really cool. Moreover, there is a Type-C port and supports up to 18W fast. There are a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual SIM support. The phone comes in Sunset Red, Ocean Blue and Midnight Black colours. The 2/32 GB model will cost $91 while the 3/32 GB variant will be available in $98. The phone has currently launched in India. But it will soon launch in Pakistan as well.
