The results of the investigation are expected to be announced on 23rd January,2017. Head of Samsung’s mobile business Koh Dong-jin, will announce the results as well as technical measures expected to be taken to eradicate such problems. According to analysts this is very unreasonable for Samsung to provide convincing yet true reasons about explosion of their previous flagship device. It would be very critical to tell people that what went wrong with Note 7 and how they will work to prevent such problems to occur again. Previously Samsung recalled about 2.5 million Note 7 phones in September. They revealed the cause of fire as a manufacturing lapse at its supplier end. But later on new Note 7 with different supplier and safe batteries according to Samsung also caught fire. This forced the company to stop the sale of their Note 7 flagship devices. In October the company announced that it will examine all basic aspects of phone that includes hardware and software designs. They also revealed to hire third party to investigate the issue. The scenario of the Samsung’s smartphone business is a question mark for them. However profit is expected to increase by growing sales of its LED screens for smartphones.
