WhatsApp to Sue Businesses Trying to Abuse Bulk Messaging
According to the WhatsApp parent company that it is taking additional measures in order to prevent people and businesses from abusing its system with bulk and automated messaging. WhatsApp said in its official statement: “WhatsApp will take legal action against those we determine are engaged in or assisting others in abuse that violates our terms of service, such as automated or bulk messaging, or non-personal use, even if that determination is based on information solely available to us off our platform. The facebook-owned company said that: “We will continue to provide capabilities to help businesses communicate with their customers,” Back in 2018, the company introduced WhatsApp Business for its Android smartphone users. The purpose behind the launch of the app was to help businesses in order to get in touch with their customers. However, it has been notice that multiple businesses are using this tool to abuse customers with a bombardment of bulk messaging or automated messages.
